Architectural Order §

Definition

Architectural Order defines the structural discipline governing built form and spatial configuration within institutional jurisdiction.

Architecture constituted under Charter operates under fixed conditions of hierarchy, proportion, material integrity, and structural coherence.

Structural Discipline

Architectural Order governs:

• proportion and scale
• spatial hierarchy and sequence
• relation of built form to open ground
• material integrity and construction discipline
• structural permanence and legibility of form

All built form within jurisdiction remains subject to these conditions.

Authority and Limitation

Authority over architectural discipline derives from Constitutive Authority and is exercised within Jurisdiction.

No structure shall be introduced, altered, or maintained in contravention of chartered architectural conditions.

All architectural acts remain subordinate to the Charter.

Continuity

Architectural Order persists across succession, transfer of stewardship, and modification of use.

All modification remains subject to fixed chartered architectural conditions.
